This PatchSee DirectPatch 0.6m Cat6a U/FTP LSOH patch lead is designed for ultra-short interconnects where compact routing, effective shielding and fast optical identification are essential. Its 5.9mm diameter provides excellent flexibility in crowded switch areas, making it well suited to top-of-rack switching, patch panel link-outs and equipment where minimal excess cable length is required. Each twisted pair is wrapped in an aluminium-laminated foil screen to maintain separation and reduce interference, ensuring stable transmission performance across the Cat6a frequency range even within high-density installations. The stranded 26AWG copper conductors offer durability for repeated handling, while the foam skin PE insulation preserves controlled impedance on short-run connections. Two integrated plastic optical fibres run the full length of the cable and present as visible fibre tips behind the RJ45 plug. When activated with a PatchLight or PRO-PatchLight tool, these tips emit a focused point of illumination that makes tracing fast and highly accurate, especially in dark or congested rack environments.

The Slim PCI RJ45 plug uses a moved-contact architecture designed to optimise Cat6a channel behaviour, and its 50 micron gold-plated contacts provide reliable performance across repeated mating cycles. A tin-plated internal shield complements the U/FTP cable construction to maintain controlled electrical characteristics at the plug interface. The cable’s black LSOH jacket meets strict low-smoke and halogen-free standards, making it suitable for regulated technical areas and environments demanding enhanced fire safety.
