This PatchSee DirectPatch 2.1m Cat6a U/FTP LSOH patch lead is designed for short and medium cabinet interconnects where dependable 10Gb/s performance, compact routing and clear optical tracing are important. Its 5.9mm diameter provides easy handling in dense rack environments, making it suitable for switch-to-switch links, patch panel transitions and structured cabling layouts that require tidy, controlled cable management. Each twisted pair is individually wrapped in an aluminium-laminated foil screen to limit internal crosstalk and minimise the impact of external electromagnetic interference, helping maintain stable Cat6a performance in mixed-signal or high-activity areas. The stranded 26AWG copper conductors offer flexibility for frequent repositioning, while the foam skin PE insulation ensures predictable impedance across the channel. Two integrated plastic optical fibres run the full length of the lead and terminate as visible fibre tips positioned behind the RJ45 plug. When illuminated with a PatchLight or PRO-PatchLight tool, these tips produce a bright, concentrated point of light that allows technicians to identify the link endpoint quickly during maintenance, migrations or rack reorganisations.

The Slim PCI RJ45 plug features a moved-contact design that enhances Cat6a signal stability by carefully controlling conductor alignment at the connector interface. Its 50 micron gold-plated contacts ensure reliable long-term performance and support repeated patching cycles without signal degradation. The plug’s tin-plated shield integrates with the U/FTP cable structure to maintain controlled electrical behaviour. The black LSOH jacket meets stringent low-smoke and halogen-free standards, making the cable suitable for regulated technical rooms, data centres and enterprise environments.
