The Maxxam Cat5e U/UTP 4 pair unshielded cable delivers Cat5e standards compliant performance and supports high speed protocols up to 1 Gigabit Ethernet. It is designed for permanent installations and flood wiring of buildings, providing a dependable medium for structured networks that carry data, voice, and video over Cat5e. The U/UTP construction consists of eight colour coded 24AWG polyethylene insulated conductors twisted together into four pairs to help control crosstalk and maintain clear signal transmission. The compact overall diameter of just 5 mm enables a tight 24 mm bend radius after installation and allows more cables to be installed in a given size of containment for higher density without unnecessary clutter. It supports the full set of IP applications designed to run over Cat5e cabling.

Supplied in a 305 m Reelex box, multiple cables can be pulled easily without axle stands, and the printed 305 m to 1 m metre marking makes it simple to measure used lengths and see exactly how much cable remains. It has a CPR rating of Eca-s1a,d1,a1 with a Low Smoke Zero Halogen violet jacket to IEC 60332-1. The range is also available in Violet, Blue, Black, Green, Orange, Red, Yellow, and Grey to support colour based identification of services and zones during installation and maintenance.
