The Maxxam Cat5e U/UTP 4 pair unshielded cable delivers Cat5e compliant performance and supports high speed protocols up to 1 Gigabit Ethernet. It is designed for permanent installation and flood wiring of buildings and supports the full range of IP applications that run over Cat5e. The U/UTP construction uses eight colour coded 24AWG polyethylene insulated conductors twisted together into four pairs to control crosstalk and maintain clear signal integrity. The compact overall diameter of just 5 mm enables tighter bend radii, with a minimum of 24 mm after installation, so cable runs can be routed cleanly in trays, trunking, and tight containment without unnecessary stress on the pairs. It is suited to structured cabling links and channels in offices, schools, and commercial spaces.

Supplied in a 305 m Reelex box, the cable is easy to pull and does not require axle stands. Multiple cables can be installed in parallel, and the printed 305 m to 1 m metre marking makes it simple to measure used lengths and see exactly how much cable remains in the box. The sheath is a grey PVC jacket to IEC 60332-1, and the product carries a CPR rating of Eca-s1a,d1,a1.
