This PatchSee DirectPatch 2.1m Cat6a U/UTP PVC patch lead is designed for short to medium cabinet connections that require reliable 10Gb/s performance, flexible unshielded routing and fast optical identification. Its 6.0mm diameter provides a durable yet easy-handling cable profile that fits neatly through cable managers and high-density patch panels, making it suitable for cabinet-to-cabinet runs, switch uplinks and general-purpose rack wiring. The unshielded twisted pair construction supports balanced electrical behaviour without the added rigidity of screened assemblies, delivering predictable performance where shielding is not required. Stranded 26AWG bare copper conductors provide resilience for frequent movement and repositioning, while the foam skin PE insulation preserves stable impedance across the Cat6a channel. Two integrated plastic optical fibres run the full length of the cable and terminate as visible fibre tips positioned behind the RJ45 plug. When illuminated using a PatchLight or PRO-PatchLight tool, these tips emit a distinct, concentrated point of light that enables quick end identification during tracing, maintenance or rack reorganisation.

The Slim PCI RJ45 plug uses a moved-contact design that supports Cat6a channel accuracy within an unshielded architecture, helping maintain consistent conductor alignment and stable signal transmission. Its 50 micron gold-plated contacts deliver reliable long-term connectivity and withstand repeated insertion cycles without compromising performance. The durable black PVC jacket protects the assembly in everyday patching scenarios, while the white printed identification marking remains visible within dense cable bundles.
