This PatchSee DirectPatch 1.8m Cat6a U/FTP LSOH patch lead is designed for short to mid-length connections where reliable 10Gb/s performance, compact cable routing and fast end identification are essential. Its 5.9mm outer diameter provides excellent flexibility in tight cabinet spaces, making it suitable for switch interlinks, patch panel jumpers and structured cabling layouts that demand precise cable control. Each twisted pair is individually foil-screened using an aluminium-laminated wrap, delivering controlled pair isolation and reduced susceptibility to interference within electrically busy rack environments. The stranded 26AWG copper conductors ensure a balance of strength and manoeuvrability, while the foam skin PE insulation maintains stable impedance across the Cat6a channel. Two integrated plastic optical fibres run the full cable length and terminate as visible fibre tips directly behind the RJ45 plug. When illuminated with a PatchLight or PRO-PatchLight tool, these tips produce a clear, focused point of light that enables quick identification of the far end during moves, maintenance or troubleshooting in low-visibility or high-density installations.

The Slim PCI RJ45 plug uses a moved-contact layout engineered for Cat6a consistency, helping minimise disturbance at the termination interface. Its 50 micron gold-plated contacts maintain long-term reliability and provide robust performance under repeated patching cycles. A tin-plated shield is integrated into the plug to complement the U/FTP construction and maintain controlled electrical behaviour. The cable’s black LSOH jacket meets strict low-smoke and halogen-free standards, supporting installations in enterprise networks, technical rooms and compliance-driven environments.
